WHO IS OSKAR? 

​​​​​He is the funny one, our Oskar. He always makes jokes and makes sure that everyone at the table has a good time.
He is happiest when the table is full. He moves his Nepal photos, his breakfast tray and the book Miranda July that he has wanted to read for so long to the other side to make room for his company tonight.

Because with Oskar there are always visitors. One day there are friends from his stay in Valencia, the next he is cooking stew under the watchful eye of his grandmother,
the author of the family recipe. He may not be a father yet, but Oskar certainly has the traits of a family man.
He treats his girlfriend and friends with the same hospitality as his wild cousins.

Sounds traditional? Well, maybe.
Oskar likes his coffee plain black and prefers to buy leather loafers 'because they last much longer'.
Yet he does not strictly adhere to the rules. Of course, spoons are for dessert and coffee usually comes afterwards.
But rules are boring and so is boring, classic porcelain on a table. Oskar doesn't care if the amuses he serves come in the same bowls as the home-made parsnip soup he had for lunch.

Life is too short to worry about etiquette, which is not to say that there is no room for refinement on the table. On the contrary.
Just ask Oskar's friends and they will tell you how nice it is to sit at his endless, cosy wooden table.

Oskar is simply an honest man who loves good company, full plates that are quickly emptied and that touch of je ne sais quoi.
